Wieronski Plumbing and Heating Inc. will provide our customers with a price of the repair before any work is started.

After our service Summit plumber and heating contractor has arrived at your home and evaluated the problem, our technician will use our upfront pricing guide and provide you with a total cost to perform the repair. This means that with the exclusion of drain and sewer cabling, once you've approved the price, you can sit back and relax; because whether it takes us one hour or all day due to unexpected problems, the bill will be the same.

Because we have been in the business here in the mountains for many years and have encountered many problems, we're willing to take the risk of upfront pricing when other companies may not. Our upfront pricing is just another benefit you get from our experience, which can save you money in the long run and provide you with peace of mind.

Due to performing repairs by the job and not by the hour, you never pay for a slow service technician. You will not pay for our technician to drive to pick up a standard part that should have been on the truck. And because it's in our best interests to work as efficiently as possible, we keep our trucks fully stocked. In fact our service trucks hold three times the material as a standard service van.

We also continue to train our technicians so they can perform the repair efficiently and correctly the first time. By removing the emphasis on the clock, our service technician doesn't feel pressure to hurry which might cause a mistake; he can take the time necessary to ensure that the job is done right.

CAN YOU QUOTE A MAXIMUM PRICE TO DO THE JOB?

You might hear some hesitation with this one. Some contractors will laugh out loud. However, Wieronski Plumbing & Heating Inc. will quote exact prices upfront on most repairs once our service technician has performed an initial inspection.

DO YOU CHARGE FOR TIME DRIVING TO AND FROM A SUPPLY HOUSE?

Some jobs may require only 40 minutes of labor to perform, but you'll see the plumber disappear for an hour or more to go pick up parts not stocked in the truck. With a time and material company, you will be paying for the drive time to and from the supply house. Wieronski Plumbing & Heating Inc. trucks are large and hold three times the material of a standard van service truck.

WHO WILL BE DOING THE WORK?

With some companies it will be a service technician with many years of experience and other times, it could be someone with less experience or possibly an apprentice filling in. Who does the work has a lot to do with how much time will be charged when a service company quotes hourly rates. With our upfront pricing your price does not change no matter how long it takes.

IF THE PROBLEM PERSISTS OR REAPPEARS AFTER YOUR TECHNICIAN LEAVES, WILL YOU COME BACK PROMPTLY TO FIX IT AT NO EXTRA CHARGE?

Most service companies will answer yes to this question. However, most labor guarantees extend only 40 or 90 days, which is not very long. After that, if there is a defective part most companies who charge by the hour will provide the part free, but will charge you labor to remove the defective part and install the new part. At Wieronski Plumbing & Heating Inc. if you have a defective part, and it is still under our warranty, we will remove the old part and install the new part at NO Charge.

CAN YOU SHOW ME PROOF OF A LICENSE AND INSURANCE?

This is a big one. Most people don't realize that if an uninsured worker gets injured while working in your home, you can be held financially responsible. Also, some home insurance companies will not cover damages sustained to the home if they were caused by an unlicensed plumber the homeowner hired. The homeowner's only recourse is to sue the offending plumber. Wieronski Plumbing & Heating Inc. is fully licensed and insured for your protection.

Phone Estimates or "Ballpark" Prices

Wieronski Plumbing & Heating Inc. understands that you would like an idea of what the repair will cost. However, we can't estimate a repair without first seeing the job. We also realize that if we provided a price without seeing the job first and guessed too low, then in all probability you would become angry with us and the service technician when he has to inform you the repair will be more expensive than what the office said it would be.

In our many years of experience, we have found that our customers prefer an accurate price based on the exact problem they are having. While other companies may quote you an hourly rate that sounds cheap, you really do not know how much time the job will take and how much material will be needed.

While some companies may give you a quote over the phone, you should recognize that their quote can and usually does change, sometimes significantly, once they arrive at your home and see the problem that needs to be repaired. There are too many variables that come into play, including the exact nature of the problem, the difficulty of the repair, and ease of access to the repair. Also, there may be more than one option to repair the problem. A knowledgeable service technician can't provide accurate repair options until he looks at the problem. Often times, the repair is more technically involved than what was described over the phone. If a price was provided over the phone in all probability it would be inaccurate.

We don't think providing a guess for the cost of a repair is fair to you. By allowing us to send a service technician to your home, he can expertly evaluate your problem. Only then will he and you know exactly what it will take to get the job done and the price to do it.
